InfraRed Capital Partners London

So, I have accepted an offer there for Infra PE Summer Analyst (on their origination and execution team) but couldn't find much info online regarding comp, exits, brand name and MBA placements.

I know that some of their associates did their banking stints at Roths/Macquarie/JPM, and that they hire a lot from LBS/Oxford and one guy with an MBA from Columbia and so am inclined to say that comp is good, or at least on par with banking money.

Can anyone give an insight regarding the what I said above.

Thanks

PS: This is their first ever summer programme so I'm not too sure as to what to expect

I see, thanks for thee input. Did you come across them in work or is it the research that has lead you to the conclusion regarding reputation ?

Cheers,

Infrared is a respected shop in the Infra / Energy space. Good brand to have on your CV if you want to build a career in this sector. Also they have a good culture.

BUT Infrared has a reputation for being one of the lowest paying shops on the market (similar to shops like Amber, Foresight, and Equitix). They actually have a contracted maximum bonus, and as I recall, it's somthing like 20-30%. I heard this first hand from people who work there.

There may be some folks who are from top banks / unis, however I understand these are mostly folks who transitioned over for a better work-life balance. Infrared also hires a lot of people from the modelling / transation teams at the big 4, as well as folks from developers / constrution company Project Finance teams.

Thank you for the helpful insight. Big Yikes for the bonus. Though, do you have an idea what the base is like ?

I work in the infra PE space... People saying it's bad have no clue what they're talking about. InfraRed is very well regarded in the industry as far as brand reputation and perceived execution ability. I can't speak to comp, no clue there. But to say infrared is bad is just silly, stay in your lane if you don't know what you're talking about
