Insight Into Fifth Third Securities IB Advisory?
I'm familiar with their S&T and capital markets components, but I haven't heard a ton about their advisory arm, which feels odd given their size and balance sheet. Couldn't find much out there on their past transactions, and I can't tell whether stuff is just kept proprietary or if they simply aren't closing.
My roommate at a good industrials boutique saw their M&A team on a pitch recently, and he's said that 5/3's LevFin and FSG groups are getting more work with some good PE firms ever since their balance sheet expanded. In college I heard it was mostly just a pitch shop, so I'd be interested in any insights from people who can shed some light on what their IB arm is up to
