Insights regarding Nomura/Nomura Greentech

There are a few older threads addressing this. However, if anyone can provide insights into Nomura and any top groups they may have + culture + exit opps + etc..., that would be great.

Am also curious to hear more about Nomura Greentech and how that compares to Nomura along with other eco-focused banks (which I frankly don't know much about).

Have a good friend who worked there. I don't think I've heard of a more sweaty shop in my life. First year analysts there get punished beyond a belief. There are often (not occasionally, often) nights where 8+ analysts and associates are grinding in the office at 3, 4 am

Saving grace is that exits have been extremely strong. Not many stay for A2A promotes in NY. Classes have been getting bigger and bigger every year. 2018 class went to Ares and MIRA. Class before went to a MM PE shop (can't remember the name), Carlyle and an A2A. Class before that went to Warburg and GS SSG. TBD on what's happened with the 2019 class, but know one person went to DE Shaw and one went to Google

What does comp look like? Have heard that it's similar to EB / above street but confirmation would be helpful.

Same here. I didn't mesh well with folks there except like one analyst? I’m not particularly crazy about the sector they’re in either so I could care less lol 🤷🏻‍♂️

Out of curiosity, what group was this in? Friend of mine had a similar experience
