intern dealing with inappropriate behavior from associate
had an associate while i was an intern at a bank who used to schedule unnecessary evening meetings with me for "training purposes" during these meetings he'd ask me personal questions
what's the best way to deal with this?
how i handled it at the time was one day when he asked to meet i responded i'm on x project with y associate with a deadline in z hours. expect to have capacity the following morning - happy to help then if there's anything he needs.
after that his attitude towards me changed. started giving me unnecessary projects and would artificially push up the deadline (from 3 hours to 1 hour, to "i want this in the next 15min" while I was simultaneously staffed on many other things
has anyone else had a similar experience?
advice on how to deal with people / situations like this one?
this sucks but depends whether you are a dude or gal.
Sounds like the Canadian middle levels at RBC NYC
group?
I don't know but just want to say I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I think you would have to talk with a staffer or HR and communicate because you don't want this person to be able to sabotage you without making it known that they are a creep (through the proper channels)
Document, put it in text/email/teams/IB that you are not comfortable with those unwanted personal inquiries not training-related during those meetings that have been put on your calendar. Hopefully the message gets across, if not you have grounds for HR confidential complaints
del
Document it, keep a record, document your complaint...dates and times etc
Yes, document everything.
