Intern Return Offer Rates

Hi all- question about IB intern return offer rates. Are the return offer rates consistent throughout the full IB division, or do they typically vary between specific groups depending on that group's deal flow/needs at the time?

Thank you!

Vary. But from what I’ve heard if you’re a top performer and your group isn’t hiring that many analysts, another group that needs more bodies might pick you up

most coverage groups will be same as years past with maybe C&R being low. I think M&A and Lev Fin will be pretty high with DCM being the highest. having a record breaking year

Why do you think C&R will be low? Also, why M&A high when there is little M&A activity going on?

C&R has been destroyed bc of Covid so they have been having a rough year as well as everyone, but especially them. M&A hasn’t been terrible during Covid. yes it has decreased but there is still a decent amount of activity

Not sure about how it’ll affect returns, but I’d imagine companies wouldn’t want to IPO at a time like this. Not sure about private placements though

You people are so chickenshit. You're really going to create an email thread and send this kid's name around the firm, when he really didn't do anything? And then you're going to act like he did anything wrong? Go fuck yourselves.
