Hi all- question about IB intern return offer rates. Are the return offer rates consistent throughout the full IB division, or do they typically vary between specific groups depending on that group's deal flow/needs at the time?

What groups (both industry and product) do you guys think will have the highest or lowest return offer rates for SA 2020?
all groups will probably be around the same as years past. C&R might be lower and DCM might be higher.
most coverage groups will be same as years past with maybe C&R being low. I think M&A and Lev Fin will be pretty high with DCM being the highest. having a record breaking year
Why do you think C&R will be low? Also, why M&A high when there is little M&A activity going on?
C&R has been destroyed bc of Covid so they have been having a rough year as well as everyone, but especially them. M&A hasn’t been terrible during Covid. yes it has decreased but there is still a decent amount of activity
C&R has had an extremely rough year. M&A is still doing decent despite everything going on
how do you think healthcare IB return rates will be this year? greater than average due to coronavirus/needs for medicine or vaccine etc, or still about the same as past years/other groups?

What about ECM? i get the argument for DCM, but does it apply to ECM even with everything going on?
Not sure about how it’ll affect returns, but I’d imagine companies wouldn’t want to IPO at a time like this. Not sure about private placements though
