Internal Mobility at PJT
What is internal mobility like at PJT between the different groups (RX, Strategic Advisory, Camberview, and Park Hill)? Is it possible/likely to move between them from SA to FT, or An1 to An2?

any insights from people close to the firm would be appreciated, thanks!
Likely no mobility between groups, unless you're looking to transition from RX to SA (and even then unlikely IMO).
thanks, any idea why it's difficult vs other firms (especially BBs) which are sometimes more open to these moves?
PJT and other boutiques are small and can hand pick their class. RX seat will go to someone who expressly has been recruiting for RX, SA seat similarly. The new, non-M&A/RX groups (Camberview? Activism?) won't be moving into the classic banking roles. You can't "backchannel" your way from a less selective group to a more selective group.
Interested if its different at London office given analyst programme is generalist and you choose whether to specialise in M&A or Rx after a few years
.
Yes a lot of mobility to psychiatric and cardiology wards
