Internal Transfer: Analyst at Top 3 BB in Asian office -> US Office?
Hey, Just started this past year at one of the top 3 BB IBD in one of the Asia offices. I was wondering how hard it is to move to the US office for the top 3 firms (ex. GS, MS, JPM?) within a year or two of joining?
Has this been done? Also, what are the steps you have to take? I'm just really curious about the process because it seems like the EDs, MDs, and VPs seem like they won't give our analyst class any recs or go ahead to do this.
Is this JPM?
IMHO pretty common movement in both directions.
It's easier to do the opposite. It also depends on the firm policy. GS has 3rd year rotation program to place you in another group/country. MS has similar program. Don't know much about JPM.
