International Elites

My family is fairly well off but not incredibly wealthy. I'm a first year analyst at a BB (ignore title, I use that when I am trolling) but I went to high school at a Swiss boarding school with truly elite level wealth families from around the world. These are many of my friends that I have grown up with although I am not on this level. My parents maybe have a $10 mil net worth. Honestly, I want to live the crazy rich international life my friends have. I know this sounds incredibly fucked up to speak this way, but I want to join the international elite. I can't help but think IB and MMPE is never going to get me there… My MD is not an international elite… My friends parents make multiples of his salary in interest alone. Is there any reason to stay in IB for any time at all? I am here because it will make me moderately rich and I don't know how to make more money than this and I am risk-averse and I don't have some crazy startup idea or anything

Honestly, your best bet is simply to stay in the game and build up an attracting aura of prestige. Meaning, date a high-ranking noble (Countess and upwards), be seen in High Society (e.g. on the yacht of the founder of Dermapharm, Wilhelm Beier, dead serious here), don't talk too much, and have a (really good) pitch ready at all times.

...and the Truth shall set you free

Why would you want that vapid existence, where your happiness is guided by external consoomption. I understand wanting money, but money just for consooming? Your old money family must have taught you nothing!

Get rich the same way they did. Most of those old money families come from scamming some king or government back in like the 13th century and then just laundering that money all the way to today. So talk to your old friends, get them to invest in your innovative hedge fund bank real state investment banking fintech new venture and then pull a Madoff on them.

That's a weird justification. You say you don't want to break laws, but you justify their grandparent's actions by saying the laws were loose in their time and place. It seems to me that the solution is simple: find a country where the laws are also loose and then scam your way to the top like the best.

Here is a little cheat code for you: Every country except the U.S. is corrupt and laws are either loose or you can make them loose with the right political support. And once you are already a billionaire, here is cheat code #2: The U.S. is also corrupt, but it is more like VIP Corrupt+ Premium where to bend the laws you need to at least have 10B when 10M will suffice in most other countries.

Lol you just admitted then that their wealth is dirty. Yes I'm aware of the post-Soviet collapse history.

It is their fault. These parasites are the reason why Russia is such a corrupt shithole today, why its economy is in shambles, why it's a petro-dictatorship with no prospects of a competitive economy that goes beyond natural resource extraction. And by extension, why Putin is in power & as paranoid as he is and why there's thousands of civilians being killed in Ukraine. It's as simple as that.

Put your head down a grind in finance like the rest of us buddy, or wait 'til your parents die and inherit. Or buy lotto tickets IDK, this is such an immature and ridiculous question... HoW dO I gEt RiCh FoR FrEE??!?

I want the ridiculous wealth, power and crazy life

This whole post and subsequent comments shows strong levels of insecurity and having a void in your life you are trying to fill. A void and a lack of confidence in oneself that you believe will be somewhat OR fully "solved" by joining the "iNtErNaTioNal eLitE". This was likely developed because growing around friends who were considerably wealthier than you, so you always in some way, in some corner of your head, felt "lesser".

I had a couple of friends, maybe like your friends, family wealth was in the Billions, I realised that life in the international elite, is very often incredibly shallow, full of insecurity, facetious and often treats people "lower" than them, very poorly and or with contempt. I'm very happy I'm no longer friends with them. Develop a bit of gratitude for your fortunate position, make some "normal" friends in finance/consulting/law who are in a similar position to you but without the family wealth and I sincerely believe you will be much happier and more content inside for the amazing position you have in life. Peace and good luck bro.
