Incoming FT IB analyst who interned in IB last year. Maybe I just never grasped how taxes work, but interns who had a summer in IB get a pretty hefty tax refund (assuming you don’t have a ton of other income). My main income in 2020-2021 was my summer internship and my work-study job through school, and I’m slated to get ~$2,000 via a tax refund in a few weeks. A couple of my other friends who interned in IB last year have already gotten their refund. Monkeys, do your taxes - the sooner you do them, the quicker you get your refund! It’s incredibly easy to do them through TurboTax or a similar service.
