Internship Advice for a High School Kid

Hey all. Other than extensively trying to use family networks, cold emailing, and cold calling, what are the most effective ways to secure a high school internship in the finance industry (whether it be a local firm or a large firm). How should I go about emailing and calling, as I would assume nobody would take a highschooler seriously. Please leave a comment below thanks.

I’m not sure where you live but there are NO real finance internships for high school kids. Any tasks will be purely administrative and will not really benefit you in any way. It won’t likely be a “real” finance job. Maybe at the very best you could learn and do a bit for a company but not a bank or firm. If you live in a really small town I’m not sure it may be different. Maybe it’s more of a community or something but realistically any high school internship would provide no learning experience and quite honestly I’m not sure positions like the one your envisioning even exist for high schoolers.
