Internship for the Summer of Freshman Year?
Currently at a target and am doing a boutique AM internship. Does anyone know how good this is as a first-time internship? Due to accelerated recruiting, I feel this is the only internship that truly "matters" because most banks will be done recruiting by the time summer 2020 rolls around and it's time for me to do my sophomore summer internship. Is it safe to say that someone without a summer internship is screwed at this point as a freshman?
most banks have pushed back their timeline a lot so soph internships are actually relevant again
Besides the top 3 BB's and Evercore/Moelis, every other bank is taking advantage of accelerated recruiting.
in the west coast, pretty much none of the top tech groups are done except qatalyst. I think its fair to say the majority of people (non diversity people) do not have offers before the summer/fall. Go to a west coast target. Lots of east coast groups are still going too
In the east coast, all my buds have offers.
