Interview dilemma
So I accepted an offer from a firm a couple weeks back and am set to begin beginning of next week. Firm/experience is decent but not great.
However, I just did a phone interview with a BB and they just invited me in for a second round interview with them next week. The meeting is scheduled my second day of the first internship I accepted. I was wondering how I should handle this situation since I'd much rather work at the BB then at the place I'm at now but I don't want to jeopardize my position if I end up not getting the offer from the BB.
(btw I know I'll probably burn a few bridges from the first firm but its highly unlikely that I'd want to work there in the future)
Thanks.
Is this for an internship?
I would tell the BB that you have a prior engagement at the time they scheduled and I would recommend a time that works for you
yea they are both for internships, i'm a rising junior btw.
The thing is, there is no time that doesn't conflict. The first internship is full time(9-5) and the BB group typically leaves early as well (5 or 6PM) from what I've gathered. I wouldn't mind taking a day off, but wouldn't it look bad if I did it during the first week of my internship?
I guess I'll just have to come up with a good reason to take a day off so early on.
i'm sorry to ask you an unrelated question - but do BB still hire the interns at this point? Can sophomores be hired as summer interns at BB?
