Do you need a Series 7 as a Investment Banker?
I'm in a internship in a Investment banking firm and my boss tells me that i need to first get clients so i am cold calling. What do you guys have to say about that? i really thought i was going to do analysts work like you know at merril or ubs, but i am cold calling so is what he said something that is true?
I think you're working in brokerage, if you see the words "JT Marlin" written on your building, my advice is to get out of there as fast as you can.
Now they do work on Spacs,Pipes,Private Placement. All which are Alternative Investments

Well it's a Internship for 6 months so..... And i am still in college, once done i'll leave 4 months left right? gets some letter of recommendations from them and the hedge fund manager. Good game plan right?

Don't worry, it's just a summer gig, don't do it for more than a couple of months though. It's a financial chop-shop.
