Investment Banking for Entrepreneurship
I am currently a prospective undergrad student looking to break into IB.
I have always been interested in the field and my goal is to eventually have equity in a business (entrepreneur) that adds value to society. But I feel working in IB first a couple of years will give me more opportunities to do this.
What are everyone's thoughts on IB to becoming an Entrepreneur/startup/business owner?
Are the skills transferable? Does the prestige of working in IB help? Does the network help?
or
Is it irrelevant and not the best use of time for an aspiring business owner.
I would love to hear everyone's honest opinion.
