Investment Banking or Capital Markets
I have full time offers with a MM investment bank (think Houlihan/Piper) and BB CM. I am intrigued by PE but I definitely don't know that's what I want. I like how dynamic CM seems to be but the prestige of IB. Ideally, potentially plan to transition into corporate strategic management at some point. Any recommendations?
@financegurl congratulations on your MM offers first
From my understanding / experience, CM skillset/knowledge has limited applicability to the likes of PE and corporate strategic management due to the difference in the job nature
Prestige or not, I would think you'd need to find a job that would provide you the right skillsets for your next desired move
Consider these two factors: interest and culture. Obviously you need to get along with the team well to be able to successfully spend late nights every single night with them, but you also need to choose the one that interests you the most. I know that’s self explanatory, but some people don’t even consider interest when making a decision.
Soluta a facere veritatis explicabo officia. Saepe nostrum saepe repellat delectus sequi quae. Dicta magnam similique enim iusto voluptatibus est corrupti.
