Investment Banking Prestige Rankings for Finance World.

Nothing better than writing in this toxic forum huh? Welp, here are your undisputed investment banking prestige rankings for the finance world. Sorry to tell you, but whether you like or not, these are all pretty much universally agreed upon. BuT iTs AlL GrOuP DePeDenT sO YoU cAnT RaNk ThEm!!! Everyone knows this, this is just the best group at the bank (which is likely M&A/RX). Only ranking the ones people give a remote fuck about (and also not industry specific banks like Qatalyst/Lion etc), throw your monkey shit somewhere else RBC boys. Also, these are based on this years deal flow and last analyst class exits to PE/HF/GE. Toxic, but FACTUAL, post incoming…………

Hoping to garner a lot of monkey shit, but hey, maybe I get some bananas from the hardos?

  1. Goldman Sachs
  2. Morgan Stanley
  3. Evercore
  4. Centerview
  5. PJT
  6. JP Morgan
  7. Perella Weinberg
  8. Moelis
  9. Lazard
  10. Bank of America
  11. Citi

So Goldman Sachs and UBS are in the same bucket? Yea dude. For sure man.

UBS and GS not the same, all else equal / same exact candidate, but that's not real life, and even then, the difference between those two and the analysts they hire is pretty low. There's a lot of variance within firms too. GS could have some Wharton people with awesome grades, but there's also analysts there with 3.5s from Indiana. It's tough to generalize as a result. Certain firms/BBs are kind of a filter/screen and after that it's up to the individual candidate to crush the interview. If you would've said GS is not the same as Lincoln International, then I'd 1000% agree.

lol i dont work at bo, a job in IB is a job in IB stop being so stuck up in rankings you, be a decent human

Because he said he didn’t want to do by groups. And the two you mentioned don’t have that strong brand recognition outside of finance - of course, within finance they are top (that’s why 40% of their class is W lol)

Finally, I would add EVR RX to those 2.
