Investment Banking Scene in Monaco
Hi everyone, I'm curious about the investment banking scene in Monaco. I currently work in the US, but I'm looking to move abroad where I can still make a high income, and Monaco caught my eye. Any insight is much appreciated - thanks.
I don’t think there is any IBD shops there. It’s mostly private banking

Non existent. In the remote case there is a deal (at the end of the day Monaco is not optimal for corporations, especially foreign), it will be run from Paris. Similar to how a deal in Nice may be handled.
FYI if you are an American citizen your best bet is staying in the US: that double taxation will 100% kick in if you are making any decent amount of money so you will end up paying just as many taxes as if you were in the US, a bit more even.
Yeah it's all about private wealth management... some corporate banking.
