Is 70k to low for a job in the compliance team within the IB division?
I am a senior in college and I accepted an offer around 70k offer from UBS for their Graduate Talent Program with the compliance team. A career coach at my school told me i didn't have any ground to negotiate so i didn't. Did I mess up or is that a good salary for the job? It's in NYC which is making me feel worse about not negotiating.
You might be in Weehawken which I'd imagine is cheaper than Manhattan. You still will definitely need roommates.
70k is pretty normal for a compliance position at a bank. Honestly, a lot of people start at even less.
