Is Big 4 Rx RX IB? Reputation?
Title. Would the Big 4's RX groups classify as RX IB groups? Was curious about this. Also, even if not, what do exits look like from them? Is it straightforward to move into "better" high finance careers?

No - Big 4's RX groups do traditional turnaround and restructuring consulting work. Exits for RX consulting is discussed in-depth under the "Consulting" section, would recommend browsing through.
Guess I got a load of snake oil then, was told that the work was similar to RX IB and could easily exit to "better" firms
There are RX consulting shops that have separate banking arms that does RX & special sits banking usually on smaller deals (i.e. A&M, Ankura), but Big 4 does not have this structure.
What type of exits are you thinking about?
Not rx ib. you are acting as financial agent/doing bk proceedings in the US but in Europe they may take on more of a turnaround/operational role more similar to Rx co
So in the US, they're neither RX IB or RX consulting? What would common exits be from them?
RX consulting is different and can be very interesting or terrible depending on where you work. RX Consulting at A&M can be very cool as they’re on something like 80% of debtor side mandates, but other firms it can be very low quality work that doesn’t lend itself to great exits.
Everyone I know who made the leap from RX Consulting to RX IB got either 1) extremely lucky from a specific situation or 2) an MBA. Usually the latter.
