Is gay the new black? Diversity

hi,

many bbs have gay 'recruiting' events...does this up one's chances and are there any benefits to it or is it better to stick to the regular track?

also how can they tell you're gay

thanks

It helps in recruiting tremendously because it shows MDs you are already willing and capable of taking it up the ass regularly.

I can throw on a lisp and some tighter khakis for the right job....

Which of course leads to the following question, "How many of you guys would go gay to get into banking? Would you suck dick to get into a BB?"

If you did the above you would be in fact gay, not "go gay".

I know that these diversity-increasing traits (i.e. black, gay, disabled, etc.) help in getting a first round interview, but do they help at all past that?

some one answer

One of my friends dropped his resume for a JPM event. He got an email saying "We would love to invite you to JP Morgan's GLBT event in New York on (date)."

He had no clue that was what the event was for, sent another email back saying there was some huge mix up and that he is very interested in JP Morgan but is not gay. Hopefully it doesn't screw him over when SA recruiting rolls around.

I wonder what the number of gays in retail groups at banks is. Of course I am stereotyping, but it would make a lot of sense if they are really into the brands, stores etc. It would seem like a good fit.

Hmmmm, all of you seem to be into brands, stores, etc...... just check the fashion forum.

On another note, by the year 2012, 11 out of every 10 men will be gay.

This is absurd, lol.

You should just show up regardless and if they ask if you are gay, tell them no, when they kick you out and/or don't hire you, sue them for discrimination. Then turn gay just to make it burn even more.
