Is GP-led same as M&A?
Heard it is essentially sell-side M&A but how different they are? Appreciate any insight people might have.

you mean GP Led Secondary Transactions?
Yep, a GP-led transaction is very similar to a normal M&A transaction
Curious how does the secondary banker focused on GP-led transaction stacked against M&A bankers in buyside recruiting?
No, not the same
Much faster process, DD is very light , marketing materials less heavy etc
If this is the case, why are secondaries banker get paid the same (or even higher at some firms) than M&A bankers given they are adding less value in the tx process?
Similar fees with a much lower headcount
Q generally makes little sense and also highly doubt they get paid the same...juniors maybe but defo not vs senior sector guys
