is ib anything like liar's poker anymore
- immediately pre-covid -
Don't mean to say I'm completely swept away after reading liar's poker, but how much of the pranks/culture and such told by Michael Lewis still exist within IBD today (okay I know it was the trading floor but I want to pursue m&a)?
Or is the extent really just the office banter
this basically answered my Q
They were bond salesmen, and no.
Came to throw midgets on dartboards, instead, I'm stuck at home, haven't showered in 2 days, and fighting the urge to end it all.
It’s actually a lot like Liar’s Poker, minus the pranks, bond trading, and human interaction
What do you mean "how much of it still exists in IBD today?" if it wasn't about IBD and nothing in the book takes place in IBD...?
Do pranks to any extent of which displayed in Liar's Poker still exist within an investment bank (S&T and/or M&A).
I know the book has nothing to do with ibd but I just wrote it because I want to join ibd. Obviously the atmosphere is completely different between the trading floor and ibd
No, life sucks and we don't have time for pranks and shenanigans.
What kind of question is this? Sounds like the same high schoolers who are on this site looking for the most "prestige" in a bank
