Is it easier for diversity SAs to get return offers?
I'm a diversity candidate who landed a SA at a BB, and I heard that it is generally easier for diversity interns (e.g., women, disabled, Black, Hispanic, LGBTQ+, etc) to get return offers. Is that actually true?
Thanks :)
No shit bro

You honestly have to be a tremendous fuck up not to get a return off even if you're non-diversity. The only exception would be in groups that purposely over-hire...

Goldman historically
I’d say from my experience and from having many diverse intern friends that it is definitely harder because people will assume (subliminally or otherwise) is that you are dumb / only there for diversity purposes. So you end up having less runway to fuck up and you are expected to pick up on things faster (or you’ll be perceived as a slow learner).
This is on top of the pressure to try to fit in culturally, which is the hardest part. If you don’t make a special impression this will be the excuse used to revoke the return offer.
