Is it normal to get the tests before Hirevue?

Hi everyone. I'm a little confused here and would appreciate some guidance. I submitted my application for a summer internship in 2023 and got link to tests about a week after. Strangely my school career officer said you should usually get a Hirevue/introductory interview first before proceeding to any tests. Specifically he said that after CV screening you get a Hirevue to see if you should pass to doing the tests.

Did the career officer make a mistake? I have less than 20 hours for the tests and feel awfully unprepared.

Careers' offices don't know shit lmao. Most banks that do online tests and hirevues normally send the tests out first.

Just a question cuz I'm soaked in confusion & ignorance. I've been practicing with jobtestprep for the past day. It seems like these tests are easy but once I'm using a calculator. They haven't specified this, but will they require I open my camera or NOT use a calculator? Ik it sounds comically ignorant but would genuinely appreciate ur help

Yeah the practice tests are minimal stuff - subtraction, addition, percent changes etc.

Another question if that's fine - how long do I usually wait to hear from them back? Reading another thread now and it seems that tests don't actually mean I've advanced in the process & almost everyone gets invited to them
