Hi, I am wondering if anyone has any insights as to what the strats program at Goldman is like - I believe there is IBD strats and Sec Dev strats, but I am not positive. I am also wondering the possibility of lateraling within the firm to either IB or S&T divisions, preferably IBD. Thanks for the help.

Are you in Strats right now? From my experience, I only worked with Sec Div Strats during my internship. Lateraling is hard but not impossible. GS internal mobility is hard as it is. Even though Strats is technically FO, the skillset is completely different than IBD. Also, IBD and Securities are on different sides of the Chinese firewall.
I am not in strats right now but am in the interview process with them. Not sure what point of prestige I'd choose another bank in IBD over GS strats assuming I get both offers.
