Is MM TMT a relatively easier sector to cover than others?
Is it relatively easier to cover a sector like MM TMT where companies are typically high growth and innovative businesses that are possibly interesting to learn about, but als not the most complicated modeling required for these types compared to businesses in other sectors? I heard from another first year in tmt that a lot of their work is just comps and precedent transactions, and simple 50 line operating models?? Rarely any dcf lbo or acc/dil?
