Is that okay for an incoming SA to take 3 hrs off to take a final exam?
Incoming SA. I'm attending a quarter-system college, and the final exam will fall on the first hit-the-desk week. Is it okay to talk to the team and take three hours off in an afternoon to take the test? Will it impact my first impression? Thanks everyone.
Yes, it will affect your first impression. You absolutely should not show up for the exam, not get the degree and waste 4 years of school. Last year we fired an intern because he had exam and we couldn't find anyone else to change font type in the CIM, which basically killed the deal. So choose wisely.
Tell someone - your staffer, internship coordinator, HR rep - about this. This is a very reasonable request. Take the exam. Your absence won’t hurt the team at all.
