It is getting so SERIOUS!

Hello Everyone, I have asked you this multiple times but I am getting very very frustrated. I am currently a senior econ major attending big semi-target state schools (Umich, UVA, UCAL etc..). As you probably already know, most of ft recruiting is over and it is very late in the recruiting season. I have two offers from a boutique consulting and financial adivsor role about to explode, but I have no desire to work for them. Past few weeks, I have been contacting alumni at boutiques and sent them my resumes, but given my low gpa and lack of experience, I am starting to lose confidence that I can land an i-banking interview at all. I am even thinking about taking next semester off to find internship.

What should I do? What kind of firms do I look for?(although I contacted every single firms in chicago and some ny) I would really appreciate it if you could give me detailed advice on this matter. Thank you

PS. I have attached my resume for your reference, so feel free to comment on it plz. http://www.razume.com/documents/28330

1) the fact that you blacked out your GPA is probably a bad sign - this is actually a very important metric to a lot of people (especially boutique firms that have to rely on you having raw intelligence since they do not have the resources to train you)

2) Being realistic nothing really jumped out at me on your resume ... which makes your GPA really that much more important.

3) Why did you go from Equity Research to PWM? Seems like it usually goes the other way around ... Were you really the co-founder of a business? If so you should play it up.

Reality of the matter is you are facing what a lot of kids are facing now: a tough finance sector with people getting laid off all over the place.Sounds like you already know what to do. Stay aggressive and on the offensive. Walls are there to show how badly we want something. Good luck.

You need to accept one of your offers and continue to look. Having a shitty job > being unemployed.

MM IB -> Corporate Development -> Strategic Finance

reading your post makes you come across as a guy with a shitty attitude. and your performance in school does nothing for a person to look past that.
