Jefferies Finance Summer Analyst

Anyone can shed some light into the Finance Summer Analyst role at Jefferies? This is the expectation for their 2023 program:

  • Summer Analysts will gain exposure to private credit underwriting, origination, and business development
  • Private Credit Underwriting: Analysts are staffed on teams of 3 to 5 members and are primarily responsible for (i) conducting company and industry due diligence and credit analysis on new transaction opportunities, (ii) preparation of approval memoranda for internal credit approval process, and (iii) assistance with execution of transactions and on-going portfolio management.
    • Analysts are generalists and will have exposure to deal flow in industries including, but not limited to, aerospace & defense, business services, consumer & retail, healthcare, industrials, media, technology and telecommunications.
  • Private Credit Origination: Analysts will support the Private Credit Origination team and work directly with senior team members on client research and marketing materials
  • Private Credit Business Development: Analysts will support the Private Credit Business Development team and work directly with senior team members on preparing fundraising presentations, communications with investors / limited partners, and investor requests
