JP Morgan FT Hiring?

I was told by my contact at JP that their SA class filled their FT needs...so I am guessing that there is probably a small chance.

Well I sent the recruiter a short message. I told him that I'm most interested in TMT and FIG but I was also open to learning about other opportunities. I hope it goes well :X

Know their TMT group is not hiring. Pretty sure FSG and SLF have slots.

Anr't FSG and SLF top groups? How can you apply to them, I don't see anything online

M&A, NatRes, and FIG are their top groups. You need contacts in the bank, but FSG and SLF have slots open.

How do FSG and SLF do in terms of PE placement? Can you apply online and have a shot?

forgive my stupidity but what is SLF ??? FSG is Financial Strategy Group?

Both groups place very very well into top PE firms.

What is being said is that you will only be interviewed if you have a connection. These few open spots are not being advertised on campus or online, they will be filled purely through referrals.

Actually, FSG and SLF don't really model. FSG is more relational, and SLF is a market-facing group. Still, they're not bad, but placement's not as good as M&A, FIG, and NatRes.

FSG and SLF definitely model, with the vast majority of their modeling being LBOs. I am quite sure of this.

I was there. SLF most definitely doesn't model. SLF gives debt interest rates to M&A / coverage groups, who then model. FSG doesn't do as much - most sponsor deals still flowed through M&A and had M&A analysts staffed on them (doing the model), and FSG models are mostly built from template.

I know for a fact that FSG handles all LBO modeling at JPM.

FT recruiting numbers are constantly being adjusted, especially given changing market conditions. With the recent wave of announced layoffs at BAML, odds are other banks are taking notice...

so is JP Morgan still hiring or not?
