I don't think she has any place speaking about IBD hours. Mary Erdoes is incredibly successful and talented, but she works in JPM WM / AM. Friends in those groups at JPM worked 50 hours a week.

I would have done anything to work 12 hour days for 6 days a week as an analyst. That would have been incredible and an immensely better experience than what I encountered. Typically it was closer to 4 days a week 17 hours, 2 days a week of 12 hours, and 1 day of stress that a VP would blow you up while you were trying to decompress.

72 hours? That’s so little

I averaged 85-90 as junior 

Dare I say it - BASED AF? 

She even tied it to the whole 10k hours cliche 🤦‍♂️

I'd happily take those hours lol
