I am from the west coast and have attempted to apply to JP summer analyst via online application. Has anyone done the same thing and heard back yet...i know the result for the research analyst position came out already but still havent heard anything about corporate finance

When you hit "submit" at a place like JPM, your resume gets put into a pool of thousands competing for 1-2 spots AT MOST if the target schools don't take them.... This year, I'll bet that the targets have taken all the spots and they won't even bother considering you.
Applying online is a ridiculously difficult way to get an internship, especially in an economy like this. You are much better off leveraging some alum who works at the firm.
