JPM Corporate Banking vs MM IB

Landed a JPM corporate banking internship and have still tried recruiting MM IB, but wondering if it’s even worth it from a platform/exit position.

Specifically, it’s in Chicago. I’m wondering if I’ll actually have any exits or the opportunity to move out of corporate banking if I take the role (not that I’m sitting on a wealth of better options, very thankful to have something). People talk about JPM CB -> LevFin, but the stats make it seem like a rather uphill battle and from what I know the structure is materially different in Chicago with syndicated finance instead of leveraged finance groups, and similar.

Should I keep recruiting for SA’27 off cycle too or no? If I take on this JPM CB role would I ever be able to make it to IB, including potentially by lateraling to another firm?
