The group has one of the best, if not the best, culture at JPM. Most sought-after group along with M&A.

Contrary to the above responses my friend who worked there told me they hated it. Very long hours, consistently past midnight on weekdays, and weak social/mentorship culture.

Not quite sure you’d expect as a recently graduated young professional in a job that pays six figures?

Strong groups that have 1) live deals and 2) lead roles on these deals result in high working hours. If you want to leave at 8pm consistently then considdr corporate banking at a japanese bank, not a top industry group at a top tier BB

My first year as an analyst was consistently 2am+ on weekdays. Some weeks every day leaving at 5-6am, getting out 11pm on Friday was a good outcome, and week-ends were 20hrs in the office on average.

Historically similar exits to PE (mostly MF, a few UMM / MM). Hours should be roughly the same as well. HC has slightly better culture tho

Heard from others that people are nice and culture is relaxed, socially. However, will work you to the bone - absolute sweatshop. If MF PE is the end goal, perhaps go for it. Otherwise, the only person you’ll make happy will be your psychiatrist cashing in on the therapy sessions.
