Bump - any updates for JPM on this? Curious if other banks will follow as well...

BB CEO's saying they want to get people together sooner for "culture" purposes, post labor day is what I heard for a few

Currently at JPM as well and here is our process thus far. We started phasing 20% of our group into the office beginning last week on a one week in four weeks out basis. This phasing included everyone from Analyst-MD and never any mention of “all first years must be present”. Many people including myself expressed concerns about returning and were told we do not have to if we are not comfortable.

Given that this is still a fluid situation I’m happy to update as things change.

Yes theres no explicit 'first years must be present' but they would be expected to go right?

Don't know if you have a pre-exisiting condition or not, but if you're young and healthy you're not really at risk. I had it along with 50 of my friends had it and no one had more than a minor cold. Not debating that the elderly and pre-exisiting condition people aren't at high risk, but young healthy people really aren't. I respected social distancing/mask wearing when I had it, but to be honest I was happy to have it bc I had virtually no symptoms and now I have the antibodies.

fuck you i hope you get washed out of finance because people like you are the reason why this job fucking sucks sometimes

The 20% Analyst to MD rotation is only referring to LevFin / CapMarkets groups..... coverage groups seem to be pushing it all to be juniors in the office.

I think we would be more grateful if the firm released clear guidelines about who / when we need to return, rather than fear-mongering juniors into signing leases with no clear written directive about returning to work

lol sure... its not like there's a pandemic going on that precludes large groups from sitting inside or something
