Hi everyone, I applied through JPM's CIB military veteran program and was invited to attend the superday after a first round interview with an MD. This is for CIB investment banking. However, the superday clashes with my final exam and my school refused to bulge on changing the date of the exam. I talked to the recruiter and now I'm going to be doing the superday through the phone. She said that a few other interviewees are in the same situation as me. A superday over the phone seems a bit weird to me, and I'm thinking that it'll be a disadvantage since a big part of the superday is establishing rapport with the interviewers. Has anyone heard of a similar situation and if offers were given to people interviewed over the phone for the superday?

Quite strange as they usually do it through 3rd party telecom means i.e BlueJeans, WebEX so you can share screen, see webcam etc. At least for my case all distant interviews are done like that.

I had a superday over the phone a week ago because I'm studying abroad. Was definitely a weird experience, but overall went fine. Didn't end up getting the offer, but that was likely due to the fact that I didn't wreck the Spanish interview (LatAm group), not because of the phone situation.
Have you checked to see your school's policy on emergency absences? While a professor might refuse, I think each school has a designated make-up exam date
I had a BB offer from a phone interview. You'll be coming in at a disadvantage, but it's definitely not something you can't overcome.
