JPM Superday Interview 2024 Markets SA Program Korea

I got an invitation to a super day for a markets SA research program in Korea but I was wondering if the interview was going to be done in Korean. I can speak a little bit of Korean but probably not enough for me to get though a whole interview in Korean. Idk if it worth doing the interview bc of this so if anyone knows plz lmk! Also does anyone have any tips for preparing for a super day? This will be my first one and I have until the 13th to prepare.

thanks

Hey there! Congrats on the superday invite, that's a big step! Now, let's get you prepared.

As for the language, it's hard to say for sure without more information. However, in my experience, most global firms like JPMorgan conduct their interviews in English, even in non-English speaking countries. But it wouldn't hurt to brush up on your Korean just in case, especially if the role involves interacting with local clients or teams.

Now, onto the superday prep. Here are a few tips based on the most helpful WSO content:

  1. Know Your Stuff: Make sure you're well-versed in the basics of the markets and the specific area you're applying to. This could include understanding key market trends, financial instruments, and trading strategies.

  2. Behavioral Questions: These are a big part of superdays. Be ready to talk about your experiences, what you've learned from them, and how they've shaped you. Remember, they're not just assessing your knowledge, but also your fit with the team and the firm.

  3. Technical Questions: While the phone screen was heavy on behaviorals, the superday could delve more into technicals. Brush up on your financial concepts and be ready to apply them to real-world scenarios.

  4. Stay Current: Be up-to-date with the latest news and trends in the financial markets. You never know when you might be asked to give your opinion on a recent event.

  5. Practice, Practice, Practice: The more you practice, the more comfortable you'll be on the day. Mock interviews can be really helpful.

  6. Be Professional: Remember, from the moment you walk in, you're being assessed. So be polite, be professional, and be yourself.

Remember, the goal of the superday is not just to assess your skills and knowledge, but also to see how you fit with the team and the firm's culture. So be yourself, be confident, and good luck! You've got this!
