JPM "under consideration for an interview" meaning
Hi Monkeys,
I recently checked the status of the application portal and it said "You are under consideration for an interview" for my London IBD SA, but I received nothing as of mails from them. Yet my other application for a continental off-cycle internship (same position) is still "Your application is being evaluated"
Does that mean anything? Would I receive a sudden call/mail/interview soon? Or it is just the tricks of JPM HR team...
This is my first time applying for SA, would like to know more!!

got the same status after receiving an additional information mail two weeks ago, wonder if that means something. I applied for another EMEA IB position outside of the UK though.

it means your resume is in the filtering process....first AI bots "read" the resume (2000 --> 100) and then human HR filters them further (100 --> 20)...THEN the individual groups get a stack of applications and filter thru them and select a handful for interviews (20 --> 5).
so that still means AC is not guaranteed. damn. and do you think at this stage, reaching out to Asso level would help?
nothing you can do to help with the process at this stage really...just wait and see...and apply to as many other firms as possible...because as you can see..the numbers are against you
