JPMC CS&I Fellowship Interview

I got an interview for the JPMC CS&I fellowship, and wanted to know what the interview would be like. It says that its 25 mins behavioral, and 25 min technical but I wanted to know how in depth the technical portion would be, and whether or not I would need to know super advanced techs. Also any information on the CS&I division at JPMC would be greatly appreciated.

For the JPMC Corporate Strategy & Insights (CS&I) Fellowship interview, here's what you need to know based on the most helpful WSO content:

Interview Breakdown

  1. Behavioral Portion (25 minutes):

    • Expect questions that assess your teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Common behavioral questions might include:
      • "Why JPMC?"
      • "Describe a time you worked in a team."
      • "How do you handle difficult colleagues?"
      • "Talk about a time you solved a complex problem."
    • Be prepared to share concise, structured stories using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
  2. Technical Portion (25 minutes):

    • The technical depth will likely depend on the role's focus. For CS&I, the technical questions are typically not as advanced as those for investment banking or quant roles.
    • Topics to prepare for:
      • Financial Analysis: Be ready to discuss financial statements, valuation methods (DCF, multiples), and basic accounting principles.
      • Market Trends: Have a global macroeconomic view and be able to discuss trends or insights relevant to JPMC's business.
      • Problem-Solving: You might be given a case or scenario to analyze and provide recommendations.
    • Advanced technical knowledge (e.g., complex modeling or coding) is unlikely to be required unless explicitly stated in the job description.
