Jump from coverage group/M&A to DCM after a few years
Let’s say I do a coverage group/M&A for 2-4 years and I end up wanting to do DCM because of the hours. Would I have to start off as an analyst again? Are DCM groups open to that idea?

Did you see more senior bankers make the jump too? Also, if you did, do they get downgraded in role? For example, VP in M&A to Associate in DCM?
Saw an asso from M&A go to an asso ronn on e in DCM, no change in seniority because of the move.
What do you actually do in DCM? Like what’s the day to day?
