Labor market

To those in the working field, with the knowledge you currently possess, what would you have changed having just graduated? Would you have still pursued the career you’re in? Any advice you have for a student that wants to work with investments and securities, but lacks the “experience” to say they are confident they want to do IB or ER? I understand recruiters want to see enthusiasm to their respective industries, but having not done either its tough to give a confident answer.
