LatAm M&A Groups NYC
Haven't been able to find much information on past threads about this, but what is the reputation of LatAM groups for BBs in NYC? I know some BBs have a strong presence in Latin America, such as CS, JPM, Citi, etc, but looking to find more info regarding group culture and presence on the street.
CS along with BAML do a significant amount of business in Brazil. I know Citi does well too and in terms of group culture heard it's a sweatshop, tough hours, etc. Top groups in NY have great deal flow.
Citi LATAM DCM and sovereigns group is very small. Only takes 1-2 interns per year. Extreme sweatshop.
Also, JPM crushes it in LATAM. Not really sure about how LATAM is viewed amongst other groups in NY, though.

Yeah I sit on their floor, its really sweaty for analysts. Still not as bad as LATAM IB though

Super sweaty. Also you have flaky clients that will do everything to not pay fees. Beware. Every guy I know from Latin America working in the usa wants nothing to so with latam coverage.
