Lateral Friendly Firms
As the title reads, currently at a LMM firm and have been fortunate enough to get some deal experience under my belt and am looking to make the move. Does anyone know which firms are more open to lateral hires? TIA

Career Resources
I've a seen number of opportunities posted for laterals at Jefferies and William Blair recently. I know Jefferies specifically is looking to continue to grow quickly and not wait to staff up via internship classes.
Has that been the strategy for Jefferies recently? Is that why the offer rates are relatively lower?
Not sure if that's been a cause for lower offer rates. I just know that an ASO there shared with me that since the firm is growing quickly and needs immediate help, they've been quite active on the lateral recruiting front.
Offer rates were a one off this year because of covid headcount planning and traditionally have been 95%+ for NYC interns.
Agreed feel like jeff will pick up anyone that breathes
Can confirm that JEF is looking to expand heavily with laterals this year. Went through a few rounds of their process and if i heard correctly, something like 60 juniors are being sought for 2021.
Hey how was your interview experience? I had a recruiter reach out but haven't talked to teams yet! She did say they are hiring A LOT though
how did you get into their process (networking, HH, etc.)? Shoot me a PM if you don’t mind. Thanks!
Blair saw a lot of turnover this year from senior folks down to juniors (COVID). I’ve seen a lot of Blair openings. Typically, most MM are lateral friendly in my experience.
They’re expanding headcount too — nearly 75 hires in Q1 — allowed some new hires to move start dates up to Q1 from the summer too. It isn’t a complete story of doom, gloom, and attrition.
HL has a number of Associates roles open, whilst GH has a dedicated portal on their website for it.
HL always seem to have associate roles open at least in my city. Have heard of stories of them taking a lateral associate then said associate leaves after 2-3 months because the hours are so bad then they’re hiring again. There’s one specific coverage group that seems to never be able to keep anyone for long
