How long does it take to hear back after final round for lateral associate roles? Is it typically as quick as undergrad / analyst recruiting (1-3 days after the final round) or does it take much longer? Also, would they just delay the process for the heck of it (making you want it more, etc) or is it always the matter of shopping around / being waitlisted?

If they like you they’ll move you fast. If it’s taking little longer than usual - they are talking with multiple people, some of who might be more priority than you.
