Lateral Role - Post-final Interview Purgatory

So, I am from a semi-target looking to lateral. I went straight into a final round interview with a regional MM last Tuesday (had an alumni refer me) - I met with a mix of MDs, Directors, and an Associate. Interviews went decent to well and were completely fit based. I sent thank you emails to all and only received a response from one of the Directors.

I followed up with the HR lead who informed me they were making decisions this past Monday and she would get back to me either Monday evening or Tuesday. I have not yet heard back from her and was wondering if I should follow up with her directly or go to one of my interviewers for my status. I don't want to look desperate, but I am interested in this position.
