Latin American Primer

Any primers for LatAm markets, focused around the investment banking paradigm or just general investing? I'm interested in going into LatAm banking and want some context on the space. Thanks in advance. Any other resources that you'd recommend would be great.

David Foster Wallace is one of my favorite authors. His interviews are terrific and essay compilations are stellar. He definitely knew what was going with the U.S. years before anyone else.

I would focus on studying Brazil, Mexico's economies most. Since they are head & shoulders above others. Then, Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Chile, Venezuela.

TBH while it is definitely not necessary, if you want to be a leader in this space it is highly encouraged that you speak some level of Spanish to read spanish or Portugues for Brazil.
