We often hear of bankers who don’t save much of their salary despite making so much. Obviously there are certain costs in IB like suits, but is it possible to save, say half of your income, while not looking cheap when compared to your peers? I guess what I’m asking: is the lavish and expensive banking lifestyle born out of necessity or want?
