Lazard SF Tech

Hi All,

Curious about Lazard’s SF Tech Group.

There seems to be some conversation on the forum about this group, but does anyone know anything about the group or who the staffer is? Looks like there are a few MDs and a Director or two and then only a few VPs? I take it that deal flow is pretty weak then? Would I be able to get off at like 8/9 PM if I worked here? What about exit opps?

Thanks all in advance

Well known strategic advisor that has IBM/Google on retainer. For Lazard, in pure deal flow, they're a stronger tech bank. Recent transactions that come to mind are representing Visa on acquisition of Plaid in January (5.3b), Intel on acquisition of Habana Labs (2b), Google on acquisition of Fitbit (2b), and a mega deal a two years ago for IBM-Redhat. But these relationships are held through consulting like work that they have to provide to companies they work with. The people I know in this group traditionally exit to growth equity (albeit amazing firms like CVC, TCV) and I know one in the last class that went to MF PE.
