Leaving IB for Enterprise Sales
What are monkeys thoughts on leaving IB for software sales at a Microsoft / Amazon / Salesforce?
Continue to work with high profile companies, make a good salary and bonus, and don’t work 100 hr weeks.
Top performers can out earn IB on a regular basis. And there’s flexibility in location and lower cost cities.
Thoughts?
Would you be able to join as an account executive or would you have to start at the bottom as a BDR? I think it would be hard to be ok going from a second-year associate to making $100k as a bdr.
Depends - are you ok with the mind numbing work that is enterprise sales? (Cold calls, linkedin social outreach, conferences)?
