Can anyone explain what LCM is? I'm trying to figure out whether or not I would want to participate in something like Leveraged Capital Markets but I don't know what exactly it entails.

You don't. They basically do what DCM does but with high yield issues. Seeing that the high yield market is dead and will likely be dead for the foreseeable future, I would stay away from it. If you need more clarification, let me know.
